Care that feels like family — because for many of us, it is.
The Way Social Senior Care was founded by people who watched their own parents and grandparents grow lonely after retirement. We built a place where mornings begin with coffee and conversation, afternoons end with a song, and no one is invisible.
Compassion. Dignity. Community.
Three commitments that shape every program decision and every interaction with our guests and their families.
Compassion
We meet each guest where they are — with patience, warmth, and an unhurried ear. Care is built on relationships, not checklists.
Dignity
Every guest is the author of their own day. We honor preferences, abilities, language, and faith — and never speak past someone in their own home.
Community
Loneliness is a health crisis. We bring people together in small groups, shared meals, and ongoing friendships — the way community has always worked.
To give every guest a meaningful, dignified day — and to give every family a partner they can trust.
We opened our doors in Brooklyn because we saw what was missing: a place that combined real social connection with the practical support seniors and caregivers actually need. Not a clinic, not a senior center — somewhere in between.
We work with most New York MLTC plans so that finances are rarely a barrier to joining. And we work with families to make every transition gentle.
The people who make the days possible.
Licensed social workers, nurses, recreation therapists, food service staff, and aides — many of whom are bilingual.
Clinical
RNs and LPNs provide medication reminders, blood pressure checks, and coordination with each guest's primary care provider.
Social work
Licensed social workers craft and review each guest's care plan and serve as the bridge to families and care managers.
Recreation
Therapeutic recreation specialists design our daily program — wellness, music, cognitive, and creative — for every ability level.
